The position of Deputy President was won by Pat McCormack, the current Chairman of the Dairy Committee. The position of Chairman of the Beef & Cattle Committee was secured by Offaly’s Michael Guinan.  

Mr Comer’s election as 12^th President of ICMSA marks the first occasion in which a farmer from the West of Ireland has become the President of the milk suppliers’ organisation. Mr Comer told the National Council that he would give everything he had in the cause of farming families and he paid tribute to his predecessor and the staff.
