Cancellation of 2020 Ploughing – ICMSA share disappointment but “understand completely”

“Obviously we share the disappointment of everyone involved in farming, as well as the many thousands of the wider rural population who look forward to going to the Ploughing every year. But we understand completely the nature of the decision and the reasons behind it. It’s an essential part of the calendar for rural families that comes at a time when one set of jobs has just finished and before the next set of jobs start, so there’s a small gap there when the pressure is off and I know that farm families have the dates ringed months beforehand. I CMSA has no doubt that it’ll be back in 2021 bigger and better than ever – and we’ll be there” said ICMSA President, Pat McCormack.
